PBS television will be presenting the compelling show, the “Botany of Desire” tonight, Thursday, Oct. 29 (check for time in your local listing).
“The program shows how four familiar species (the apple, the tulip, marijuana and the potato) evolved to satisfy our yearnings for sweetness, beauty, intoxication and control.”
The show is based on award winning author, Michael Pollan’s book of the same name.
