The Arte Y Pico Blog Award. Pass it on to a blog that you consider artistically inspiring!
It’s encouraging to open up your blog dashboard and notice that you have some new link relationships. One that caught my eye the other day came from the
I Love My Garden blog whose author, Jamie, named my blog,
EdenMakers , as a worthy blog for the
Arte y Pico blog award! Thank you Jamie! I am happy to read that you enjoy my garden design ideas and musings.
The “Arte y Pico” award means, “the peak of art.” The original creator of the award explains the thought behind the award. “This prize has arisen from the daily visits that I dedicate to many blogs which nourish me and enrich me with creativity. In them I see dedication, creativity, care, comradeship, but mainly, ART, much art.”
Now it’s my turn to pass along the award to five blogs that inspire me artistically.
1. Plant Whatever Brings You Joy blog by Kathryn Hall. How can you not love a blog with this name? Kathryn’s polished, yet accessible writing style inspires me to sign up for writing classes! Her posts are varied in subject matter from garden art, garden tools, vegetable gardening, recipes and much more. A common theme that I gravitate to is how Kathryn finds joy in most everything in life and in the garden.
2. Soliloquy by Nancy Bond. Nancy is another gifted writer whose posts I enjoy. Nancy paints beautiful portraits of nature and gardens with her original poetry and writings as well as her camera. Check out Soliloquy for carefully curated quotes and poems too.
3. Flower Garden Girl’s Blog by Anna. Anna brings life to everything she touches- her gardens, her new home, and to her relationships with fellow bloggers. I enjoy Anna’s container garden creations and just about everything else in her blog. Great photos and ideas. She makes me smile.
4. A Way To Garden by Margaret Roach. Everything about Margaret’s blog inspires me, from the layout, to photos to the creative content- I learn something new every time I visit. I should mention that Margaret’s gardening and writing background comes with the distinction of being past gardening editor of Martha Stewart’s Living magazine as well as overseeing all of the editorial content for Martha’s company! Needless to say, A Way to Garden is a “good thing.” Hey Margaret, did you pen that phrase?
5. A Photographers Garden Blog by David Perry. David’s exquisite photography is above description. Just go on over to his blog and see for yourself. “Garden eye candy!”
I followed some rules in passing the Arte Y Pico award:
There are 5 rules for this award:
1. Choose 5 blogs you consider deserving of this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and contribution to the blogging community, regardless of the language.
2. Each award should have the name of the author and a link to his/her blog to be visited by everyone.
3. Each award winner should show the award and put the name and link to the blog that presented him/her with the award.
4. The award winner and the one who has given the award should show the Arte y Pico blog so everyone will know the origin of this award. Translated, it means “the peak of art.”
5. Show these rules.
I hope you enjoy discovering these five garden blogs if you’re not already acquainted with them.
