I did a video interview with Capessa.com about how I  got into garden design  and ended up with a garden television career!  I was a stay at home mom and I discovered that I had a talent for garden design, something I would have never stumbled up if I had not taken a break from the office to be with my kids. Check out my story in this short video. I hope it will inspire you to find your “hidden talents” and see what new doors they may open in your life!   Watch Shirley Bovshow on Capessa.com

  1. Shirley, that is an awesome and inspiring story. I love your energy and enthusiasm!

  2. Hi Anna. Thanks for dropping in and for your nice compliments. You are right, “there is life beyond the inside of the house!” As a matter of fact, that is where most of life is! I hope that my children grow up to feel this way as well as the others who I have the pleasure to inspire and teach.

You are a blessing to me. Thanks for the encouragement to keep “doing what I’m doing.” Stay in touch!

  3. Loved your video and have been a fan of yours for a long time. I’m getting ready to start new gardens and see I need to check out your blog information subtitles. I see one on raised planters that looks very interesting. I admire your drive to reach your dreams. Your personality is perfect for this kind of career. You help people realized there is life beyond the inside of their house. You do help others realize their home can be their haven. Thank you Shirley. I admire you.

  4. Hey Trey, I may have to interview you sometime and get you in front of the camera. I have a feeling you have a lot to share and you won’t be shy! Thanks for the visit.

  5. I love your story. Sometimes we get involved with a job and life and stop learning or searching. I got involved in the nursery business since I liked the outdoors and thought being a nurseryman was cool. It is, but along the way I have discovered I enjoy writing and speaking as well as the regular nursery duties, so I keep doing what I like never really knowing where it will take me. Life is to short to waste on doing what you don’t enjoy doing.

Your energy shines in this video. Congrats on the garden!
